Sanders helps Desperados edge Sabercats
Mar 23, 2008 - 6:52 AM SAN JOSE, California (Ticker) -- Chris Sanders threw six touchdown passes as the Dallas Desperados edged the San Jose Sabercats, 59-56, on Saturday night.Anthony Armstrong caught three TDs for the Desperados (4-0), who racked up 277 of their 323 total yards through the air.
Sanders completed 20-of-28 passes for Dallas, which overcame 12 penalties.
Armstrong's 48-yard TD catch with 3:42 left in the fourth quarter snapped a 49-49 tie. The Desperados added Remy Hamilton's 45-yard field to forge a 10-point lead with 34 seconds left.
Mark Grieb also tossed six scores for the Sabercats (2-2), who scored as time expired to account for the final margin.
