Bombers lineman Khan retires
Apr 25, 2012 - 2:59 PM Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - Winnipeg Blue Bombers offensive lineman Obby Khan has announced his retirement after eight seasons in the CFL.Khan joined Winnipeg in 2006 after being selected by the club in the Ottawa Renegades' dispersal draft. He played in 118 games during his career, as well as two playoff games and the 99th Grey Cup.
"It's with mixed emotions that I make this announcement today as football has always been a part of my life," Khan said Wednesday. "At the same time, when one door closes, another one opens and I am looking forward to the next phase of my life. I want to thank all the fans in Winnipeg for their support over my career."
Khan was selected by Ottawa with the second overall pick of the 2004 CFL Draft and spent his first two seasons with the Renegades.
