Blue Bombers name Creehan defensive coordinator
Nov 29, 2012 - 5:11 PM Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers named Casey Creehan the team's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Thursday.Creehan will be making his second stint with the Bombers, having spent 2010 as the team's linebackers coach and taking over as Winnipeg's defensive line coach halfway through the 2011 season.
He was the defensive coordinator for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats last season.
Prior to joining Winnipeg in 2010, Creehan's other CFL coaching experience includes being the linebackers coach for the Montreal Alouettes in 2008, defensive line coach for the Calgary Stampeders in 2004, and defensive backs coach/interim defensive coordinator with the Stamps in 2005.
He has also held coaching positions with Eastern Michigan University, James Madison University, Clarion University, Southern Illinois University and Lehigh University.
