Blue Bombers give OL January contract extension
Jan 23, 2013 - 6:15 PM Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers extended the contract of offensive lineman Glenn January on Wednesday."Glenn is an integral part of our offensive line who provides leadership and experience to our young stable of linemen," said Blue Bombers vice president and general manager Joe Mack. "We're happy to have him extend his contract so that we can build upon the consistency we began to establish last season."
January, coming off his second consecutive East Division All-Star nomination, played left tackle in 17 games last season, helping Winnipeg finish fourth in rushing yards (1,923) and average yards rushing per game (106.8).
A former First-Team All-Big 12 player, January has played six seasons with Toronto (2007), Saskatchewan (2008) and Winnipeg (2009-12).
