Report: Blue Bombers to name Kelly as coach
Dec 2, 2008 - 5:55 AM TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League have called a news conference for Tuesday to name their new coach.While the team did not divulge the identity, TSN of Canada reported that Mike Kelly will be named as coach of the Blue Bombers.
A former offensive coordinator with the Blue Bombers from 1992-96, Kelly will replace Doug Berry, who was fired on November 12.
Kelly served as head coach with Valdosta State from 1997-99, offensive coordinator for the Orlando Rage in the now-defunct XFL and as an assist with the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins of the NFL.
