Blue Bombers sign pair of linemen
Feb 17, 2009 - 1:17 AM WINNIPEG, Manitoba (Ticker) -- The Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Monday signed offensive linemen Glenn January and Steve Morley.Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
January, 25, played 17 games with the Saskatchewan Roughriders last season.
The top overall pick of the 2003 CFL draft, Morley, 27, started two games for Saskatchewan in 2008.
"We're excited to get these two players," Winnipeg coach Mike Kelly said. "They bring athleticism, as well as mental and physical toughness that we want as our trademark here.
"I think they're guys that want to be here for an extended period and after having conversations with both of them, they're very excited to be Winnipeg Blue Bombers."
