The Nuggets made it four wins in a row with Wednesday's 117-110 victory over Kevin Love and the Minnesota Timberwolves, as Ty Lawson led eight players in double figures with 23 points.
Nate Robinson and Wilson Chandler netted 15 and 14 points, respectively, and Kenneth Faried had 13 points. Jordan Hamilton added 11 and J.J. Hickson, Randy Foye and Andre Miller all scored 10 points.
"We're starting to get it," Denver head coach Brian Shaw said. "We're starting to build some momentum."
Denver's bench had a 47-10 advantage and the team shot 51.1 percent as a whole. The Nuggets reserves rank second in the NBA in points per game (44.3) and first in rebounds per game (19.6), and have outscored their opponent in 12 of their first 14 games.
The Nuggets took advantage of 17 Minnesota turnovers, scoring 25 points, and fired back when the Timberwolves pulled within one point on Love's 3-pointer with 3:57 to go. The Nuggets were coming off a road win at Dallas on Monday and will play six straight on the east coast after Friday's home tilt.
New York has lost seven in a row and will close out a four-game road trip Friday. The losing ways continued for the Knicks in Wednesday's 93-80 setback to the Los Angeles Clippers and Carmelo Anthony led the visitors with 27 points and nine rebounds.
Anthony is second in the NBA in scoring with 26.5 points per game and won the title last season. Andrea Bargnani posted 20 points and 10 rebounds and Raymond Felton collected 12 points and seven assists.
New York shot 38.6 percent for the game.
"We had good looks, but we're not making shots," Knicks coach Mike Woodson said. "Our defense was solid. We have too many gaps right now."
The Knicks are winless in the last four road games and haven't won since Nov. 13 at Atlanta. They are 2-5 away from Madison Square Garden and last lost eight in a row overall Feb. 5-23, 2009.
New York and Denver split both meetings a season ago and the Nuggets are 7-3 in the past 10 matchups in this series. The Knicks are winless in five straight and 10 of the last 12 trips to the Rockies.
