Warriors cruise past Grizzlies

Mar 28, 2015 - 4:51 AM Memphis, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Stephen Curry posted 38 points with 10 assists as the Golden State Warriors earned a convincing 107-84 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night.

Klay Thompson checked in with 28 points and Draymond Green added 10 points for the Warriors, who have won eight straight.

Golden State (59-13), which had dropped 12 of its last 14 against the Grizzlies, tied a franchise record for wins in a season.

"Solid effort and it continues the stretch we have been on the last couple of weeks," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. "I think we have gotten better just understanding our purpose out there on the floor."

Mike Conley and Jeff Green each scored 16 points to lead Memphis, which has lost two straight.

"Another tough night. We played a very, very good team," Grizzlies coach David Joerger said. "We did not play very well again, which is very disappointing."

The Grizzlies shot at a better clip than Golden State in the first quarter, but the Warriors made two more 3-pointers in the frame and netted 11 points off six turnovers for a 31-24 lead.

Conley's jumper with 3:50 left in the second cut the Memphis' deficit to one. The Warriors pushed their lead to 54-49 at halftime.

Curry scored the first five points of the second half as Golden State grabbed a double-digit edge. He canned successive 3s later in the quarter to extend the lead to 21, and Golden State brought an 85-65 lead into the fourth.

The Warriors led by as many as 24 as they improved to 39-0 this season when holding their opponents under 100.
