Lo's 8 3s lead Columbia to 78-71 win over Robert Morris
Dec 14, 2015 - 9:23 PM NEW YORK (AP) Maodo Lo knocked down a career-high eight 3-pointers and scored 26 points to lead Columbia to a 78-71 win over Robert Morris on Monday.Lo had six 3s and 17 points in the first half as the Lions (8-5) shot 50 percent and opened a 37-27 lead.
The Colonials (1-9), after shooting 37.5 percent in the first half, found their range in the second half and finally pulled within one on two free throws by Billy Giles with 25 seconds left. But Columbia made all six free throws from there while the Colonials had a critical turnover and missed a pair of 3-pointers.
Grant Mullins added 17 points for Columbia, making 11 of 12 free throws in the second half when the Lions went 16 of 18 from the line.
Rodney Prior had 16 of his 27 points in the second half when Robert Morris shot 53 percent.
