Louisiana Tech F Cooper suspended for season
Jan 13, 2009 - 9:11 PM RUSTON, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Louisiana Tech junior forward Kenny Cooper has been suspended for the remainder of the season for repeated violations of team rules, the school announced Tuesday.A transfer from Oklahoma State, Cooper averaged 11.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game while making 15 starts for the Bulldogs this season.
"Unfortunately, Kenny is not willing to make the commitment necessary to remain a member of our team," Louisiana Tech coach Kerry Rupp said. "He will continue on scholarship for the remainder of the year, which will allow him to concentrate on obtaining his degree."
