Givens shoots Middle Tennessee past Florida International
Jan 10, 2007 - 3:37 AM MIAMI (Ticker) -- Chrissy Givens scored a season-high 32 points to lead No. 21 Middle Tennessee past Florida International, 86-52, in a Sun Belt Conference matchup.Givens scored 25 of her 32 points in the second half and added eight assists and six steals for the Blue Raiders (13-3, 5-0).
Amber Holt added 19 points and Brandi Brown hit four 3-pointers and scored 13 of her 16 points in the first half for Middle Tennessee.
LaQuetta Ferguson was the only player in double figures for Florida International (9-6, 3-2) with 16 points.
The Golden Panthers turned the ball over a season-high 29 times, leading to 38 points for the Blue Raiders, who shot 51 percent from the floor and led by as many as 40 late in the second half.
