Griner, Baylor roll over Kansas

Feb 7, 2013 - 3:20 AM Waco, TX (Sports Network) - Brittney Griner finished with 26 points and 13 rebounds as No. 1 Baylor rolled over Kansas, 86-45, at Ferrell Center.

Odyssey Sims added 13 points and nine assists, while Brooklyn Pope also netted 13 points and Kimetria Hayden contributed 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists for the Lady Bears (21-1, 11-0 Big 12), who stretched their regular season Big 12 win streak to 33 games.

Charlicia Harper paced Kansas (14-7, 5-5) with 11 points and Asia Boyd had 10 off the bench as the Jayhawks had their two-game win streak snapped.

Baylor used a stifling defense to take control of the game as the Lady Bears held Kansas to just 32.3 percent (10-for-31) shooting in the first half en route to a 45-24 lead at the break.

The Lady Bears, meanwhile, shot 54.1 percent (20-for-37) in the opening 20 minutes and held a 23-11 advantage on the glass.

Kansas never threatened in the second half as Baylor outscored the Jayhawks, 41-21, in the frame.
