(25) Boston College (7-3) at Wake Forest (6-4), 3:30 pm EST
WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Boston College controls its own destiny, while Wake Forest needs a lot of help. Both Atlantic Coast Conference teams need a win this Saturday.
Freshman Montel Harris and the 25th-ranked Eagles seek their third consecutive victory when they visit the Demon Deacons.
With last Saturday's 27-17 triumph over Florida State, Boston College (7-3, 3-3 ACC Atlantic) will take the division crown with a win this week and a victory over Maryland on November 29.
Following two terrific performances, Harris is putting together an impressive freshman campaign. He has rushed for 652 yards and five scores this season.
Harris has been a major factor in the Eagles' recent surge, rushing for 241 yards and a touchdown on 48 carries over the last two contests.
But its been Boston College's opportunistic defense that has put it in position to possibly win the conference title. The Eagles have forced eight turnovers and scored a pair of defensive touchdowns in their last two victories.
Wake Forest prides itself on not committing turnovers. But Riley Skinner had a five-game streak of not throwing an interception snapped during last week's 21-17 loss to North Carolina State.
Skinner has passed for 1,882 yards and 12 touchdowns with five interceptions - four of which came in one game - this season.
Wake Forest will be eliminated from the ACC Atlantic race with a loss or a Maryland victory over Florida State.
If the Demon Deacons (6-4, 4-3) defeat the Eagles this week, they will need Boston College to top the Terrapins next week to represent the Atlantic division in the conference title game.
