Wild continue surge with OT win in Nashville

Mar 18, 2015 - 4:26 AM Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Matt Dumba netted the game winner 22 seconds into overtime, and Minnesota rallied to down Nashville, 3-2, at Bridgestone Arena.

Charlie Coyle netted the other two scores for the Wild, who have taken two in a row and eight of their last 10. Devan Dubnyk picked up yet another win thanks to 25 saves.

"It's nice to know we have that fight in us," said Coyle.

Roman Josi recorded both scores for the Predators, who fell to 2-6-1 in March. Pekka Rinne halted just 18 shots in defeat.

"(Josi) has had a terrific year for us," said Nashville coach Peter Laviolette.

Minnesota won a defensive right-circle draw and moved up ice thanks to quick puck movement from Ryan Suter to Dumba to Zach Parise on the right wing. Parise held until reaching the bottom of the offensive right circle and Dumba stepped into a shot which sailed by an unscreened Rinne.

Coyle put the visitors on the board with 58 seconds left in the first period, flipping home a Jordan Leopold shot from inside the crease.

Josi picked up a pair of scores in a 45-second span late in the second to give the hosts a lead. His first of the burst came on a one-timer from between the circles at 13:41, and the go-ahead strike eluded Dubnyk at 14:26 to finish off a 4-on-2 break.

Coyle evened things with 6:41 left in regulation with a blistering drive from the right circle off a Chris Stewart pass.
