Lightning acquire D Sersen from Penguins
Oct 1, 2008 - 10:53 PM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday acquired the rights to defenseman Michal Sersen from the Pittsburgh Penguins for a fifth-round selection in the 2009 draft.The 6-1, 200-pound Sersen recorded nine goals and nine assists in 54 games with Czech Extraliga Hockey League champion HC Slovan Bratislava last season.
A native of Slovakia, the 22-year-old Sersen was selected in the fifth round - 130th overall - by the Penguins in 2004.
