Toronto (1-1-1) at NY Rangers (5-1-0), 7:00 pm EDT
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers will attempt to rebound from their first loss of the season when they square off against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday.
Led by Brandon Dubinsky and Aaron Voros, the Rangers won their first five games of the campaign. The duo, however, was held off the scoresheet Wednesday as New York suffered a 3-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres.
The second-year players will try to get back on track against the Maple Leafs, who have not won since besting the defending Stanley Cup champion Red Wings in their season opener.
Through the first six games of the season, both Dubinsky and Voros recorded three goals and seven points with a plus-2 rating.
They have been playing on the second line with Nikolai Zherdev, who has two goals and three assists after signing with the Rangers in the offseason.
Toronto has not played since surrendering a 5-4 defeat in a shootout to St. Louis on Monday. Nik Antropov had two assists, but the Maple Leafs were unable to hold on to a 3-0 lead against the Blues.
