Ottawa (6-9-2) at NY Rangers (13-5-2) 7:00 pm EST
NEW YORK (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers aim for a third straight win Monday when they host the Ottawa Senators, who are headed in the opposite direction.
Captain Chris Drury scored the lone goal in the shootout as the Rangers recorded a 3-2 victory over Boston on Saturday. Henrik Lundqvist stopped 23 shots and improved to 3-1-1 with a 1.95 goals-against average in his last five starts.
Saturday's shootout triumph came three days after the Rangers thrashed the rival New Jersey Devils, 5-2. New York's two-game winning streak has followed a poor stretch in which it dropped four out of five contests.
While New York is picking up steam, the Senators are mired in a four-game losing streak. Ottawa lost, 3-2, to the New York Islanders on Saturday. The Senators have been terrible offensively, managing just four goals during their losing streak.
Ottawa will look to avoid its first five-game skid since a seven-game slide from November 21-December 4 of last season.
The Rangers would love nothing more than to add to the Senators' struggles, considering how Ottawa has dominated them lately. New York has lost five straight home games to the Senators and 15 of the last 20 meetings.
