Colorado (8-8-0) at Calgary (9-8-1) 9:30 pm EST
CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- In a season full of streaks, the Colorado Avalanche have used their latest winning stretch to get back to .500.
They will look for their fourth straight win when take on the well-rested Calgary Flames on Tuesday.
The recent run of success can be credited to Peter Budaj, who has snapped out of a recent funk to win his last three starts. The goaltender has stopped 90 of 93 shots over the last three games.
Budaj has won all three of his shootout contests this season, including the last two Colorado victories. He has allowed just four goals on 13 attempts this season.
Milan Hejduk continues to lead the Avalanche with eight goals, but has managed just an assist in the last four games.
After a stretch of eight games in 13 days, Calgary has not played since Thursday's 6-1 loss in San Jose. The Flames have lost five of seven overall, mainly due to the continued struggles of Miikka Kiprusoff.
The Finnish netminder, who ranks 40th of 43 goalies with a 3.49 goals against average, has allowed 23 goals in his last 13 periods of play.
Captain Jarome Iginla is off to another great start, collecting 10 goals and 11 assists, while ranking seventh in the NHL in total points.
