DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Anaheim Ducks vie for their fifth consecutive victory on Monday when they visit the Detroit Red Wings.
Anaheim, which will match a season high if its able to win, has allowed just three goals during its winning streak.
Jonas Hiller made 36 saves and Rob Niedermayer scored twice as the Ducks posted a 4-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday.
Hiller was coming off a 26-save shutout against Chicago on Friday and has won his last five starts.
The suddenly slumping defending champions have dropped three of four for the first time this season.
Despite outshooting Boston, 30-19, Detroit lost a 4-1 contest on the road on Saturday. Jiri Hudler scored the lone goal but netminder Ty Conklin allowed three goals on nine shots before he was removed at the 8:01 mark of the second.
Francois Beauchemin's tally in overtime helped Anaheim win the first meeting, 5-4, on October 29.
