Houston, TFC play out scoreless draw
Jun 23, 2013 - 3:04 AM Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Toronto FC earned another point on Saturday with a 0-0 draw at the Houston Dynamo, giving the club five points from its past three games.Houston's struggles continue with another subpar outing as the club has now failed to win any of its last six games.
The Dynamo generated one of the few clear-cut chances midway through the first half when Corey Ashe delivered a cross to the front of goal for Will Bruin, who managed to head it over the net with goalkeeper Joe Bendik at his mercy.
Toronto controlled a good portion of the first half, but didn't manage to create much in attack either.
A point seemed to be a fair result for both sides, although TFC had one last push five minutes from time when a long-range effort from Jeremy Brockie was spilled by Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall, allowing Danny Koevermans a chance on the rebound, which Hall was able to snuff out.
