'Caps topple Galaxy for fourth straight win
Apr 5, 2015 - 4:02 AM Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Vancouver Whitecaps FC continued its hot start to the season by claiming a 2-0 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy at BC Place on Saturday.Kekuta Manneh and Octavio Rivero netted the second-half goals that made the difference for the 'Caps, granting the club a fourth straight win for the first time since it joined MLS.
Los Angeles, meanwhile, sees its winless streak extend to four games after opening the season with a 2-0 defeat of the Chicago Fire.
The two sides were scoreless on the night until Manneh collected a brilliant through ball from Pedro Morales, drifted inside and fired a low shot past Jaime Penedo.
Rivero doubled the advantage 10 minutes later, pouncing on a rebound conceded by the Galaxy goalkeeper and punching home his fourth goal in five games.
