Lynx remain undefeated
Jun 4, 2012 - 2:25 AM Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - Maya Moore and Rebekkah Brunson both scored 17 points on Sunday and the Lynx remained undefeated with an 83-79 win over the Silver Stars.Lindsay Whalen had 15 points and Seimone Augustus finished with 13 for Minnesota (7-0), which led by many as 26.
Danielle Adams scored 21 points to pace San Antonio.
The Lynx took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Silver Stars 26-12 to build an insurmountable advantage. They were 12-of-16 from the floor and got 13 points from Moore, who didn't miss a shot in the frame.
In the final minute of regulation, Adams wrapped a three-pointer and a driving layup around a pair of missed free throws from Augustus, cutting San Antonio's deficit to 79-75. But Minnesota made enough foul shots the rest of the way to hold on.
