Lynx down Shock to remain undefeated
Jun 10, 2012 - 2:44 AM Tulsa, OK (Sports Network) - Maya Moore scored a game-high 26 points and Monica Wright netted 18 as the Minnesota Lynx pulled away in the second half to defeat the Tulsa Shock, 93-73 on Saturday, and remain undefeated.Rebekkah Brunson added 15 points while Taj McWilliams-Franklin and Candice Wiggins contributed 11 points apiece for the Lynx, who improved to 9-0 on the season.
Lindsay Whalen had eight points and 10 assists in the victory.
Jennifer Lacy had 15 points, Temeka Johnson dropped in 14 and Kayla Pederson pulled down 10 rebounds for Tulsa, which fell to 0-8 on the year.
Minnesota held a slim 44-42 advantage at the break and Tulsa managed to keep it close through the opening minutes of the third quarter.
But after a Karima Christmas three-pointer tied the game at 47-47 with just over seven minutes left in the frame, back-to-back treys by Wright and Moore around a Christmas jumper sparked a 23-11 run that gave the Lynx a 70-58 lead entering the fourth quarter.
Tulsa trailed by double digits throughout the entire final period.
