Three Stampeders nab CFL weekly honors

Nov 11, 2014 - 5:28 PM Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Calgary Stampeders slotback Marquay McDaniel, defensive back Keon Raymond and defensive lineman Quinn Smith each nabbed weekly honors on Tuesday.

The trio was joined by Toronto Argonauts kicker and punter Swayze Waters as the standout performers from the final week of the CFL season.

McDaniel was named the Offensive Player of the Week after setting career highs with 12 catches for 165 yards in Calgary's 33-16 victory at British Columbia.

Raymond registered seven tackles and one interception and forced a fumble to earn the Defensive Player of the Week award, while Smith was named the Canadian Player of the Week after compiling three fourth-quarter sacks.

Waters, the Special Teams Player of the Week, made field goals from distances of 45, 39 and 22 yards while averaging 47.6 yards on nine punts in Toronto's 23-5 win over Ottawa.
