Afghanistan to play at Lord's
Apr 7, 2017 - 11:15 AM Afghanistan will play an historic first match at Lord's later this year when they take on an MCC side to be led by former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum.The associate nation, who currently sit top of the Intercontinental Cup standings - with the winner to be given a crack at gaining Test status next year - will play the 50-over fixture on July 11.
MCC president Matthew Fleming said: "I am thrilled that we will be welcoming Afghanistan to Lord's this summer. It is the latest landmark on a very exciting journey for Afghan cricket."
