White Sox-Tigers game postponed due to rain
Sep 13, 2008 - 1:49 AM CHICAGO (Ticker) -- Friday night's contest between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field has been postponed due to rain.The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Saturday, starting at 3:55 p.m. EDT. Pitchers have yet to be announced.
Saturday's festivities will mark the second time this week the White Sox have played a doubleheader. They were swept by the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday.
The Tigers, who are making their final appearance of the season at U.S. Cellular Field, were scheduled to start righthander Justin Verlander against lefthander John Danks on Friday.
