West hurts ankle
Oct 19, 2014 - 12:59 AM Indianapolis, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Indiana Pacers power forward David West left Saturday's preseason game against the Dallas Mavericks with an ankle injury.Midway through the third quarter, West caught an inbounds pass near the basket and went up for a layup that was contested by Dallas forward Al-Farouq Aminu. West twisted his ankle as he landed, screamed in obvious pain and spent a few minutes on the ground before team officials helped him to the locker room.
Indiana opens its regular season against the 76ers on Oct. 29.
