Los Angeles' Harris takes weekly honors

Dec 23, 2014 - 4:12 PM New York, NY (Sports Network) - Los Angeles D-Fenders guard Manny Harris was today named NBA Development League Performer of the Week for games played Monday, Dec. 15 - Sunday, Dec. 21. The honor is the first for Harris this season and the fifth of his NBA D-League career.

Harris (6-5, 185, Michigan) led Los Angeles to a 2-0 week, averaging 29.5 points and 11.5 rebounds. His 39-point, 13-rebound 10-assist triple-double on Dec. 20 helped the D-Fenders to an NBA D-League record setting 175-152 win over the Reno Bighorns. Earlier in the week, he recorded 20 points and 13 rebounds in a 122-120 victory over the Idaho Stampede.

This season, Harris is averaging 25.6 points, good for fourth in the NBA D-League, to go with 7.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists.

Other top performers considered included Austin's JaMychal Green, Bakersfield's Earl Barron, Idaho's Kevin Murphy and Iowa's Jarrid Famous.
