Jones leaves Columbia to take BC job
Apr 9, 2010 - 11:23 PM NEW YORK(AP) -- Joe Jones resigned as Columbia's basketball coach Friday to become associate head coach at Boston College.Jones was 86-108 overall and 39-59 in the Ivy League in seven seasons at Columbia. The Lions were 11-17 overall and 5-9 in the Ivy League this past season.
"I am truly grateful for my time here at Columbia. I loved it here," Jones said.
Columbia won its only Ivy League basketball title in 1967-68.
