Northern Colorado moves quickly to replace Boyle

Apr 20, 2010 - 4:19 PM GREELEY, Colo.(AP) -- Northern Colorado moved quickly to replace Tad Boyle, promoting assistant B.J. Hill to lead the men's basketball program.

Boyle left Monday to take over at the University of Colorado after leading Northern Colorado to a school-record 25 wins last season.

Hill, 36, has been on the Bears' bench for four years, including the last two as an associate head coach.

In hiring Hill, Northern Colorado athletic director Jay Hinrichs said that continuity in a program was "paramount to its success."
