UNC-Asheville tops Coastal Carolina for Big South title
Mar 5, 2011 - 11:31 PM Conway, SC (Sports Network) - The first ticket to the "Big Dance" has been punched.Chris Stephenson scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds to help UNC- Asheville clinch the Big South title with a 60-47 victory over Coastal Carolina.
Jaron Lane had 13 points and Matt Dickey added 12 for the third-seeded Bulldogs (19-13), who are headed to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2003.
Chad Gray finished with 13 points and nine boards for the top-seeded Chanticleers (28-5), who lost in the conference championship game for the second consecutive year.
