2 Mount St. Mary's players suspended
Nov 11, 2011 - 11:11 PM Emmitsburg, MD (Sports Network) - Two Mount St. Mary's basketball players, including senior guard Lamar Trice, have been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. The suspensions were announced Friday before the Mountaineers' 2011-12 season opener at No. 22 Marquette.
Head coach Robert Burke said in a statement that Trice and sophomore forward Kristijan Krajina "know what they need to do to meet the expectations of being a Mount St. Mary's basketball player."
"Once they have done this, they can return to competing in games," Burke said. "Until then, they will continue to practice with the team, but will not be allowed to play in games."
Trice was named the Northeast Conference's Most Improved Player last season after averaging 13.3 points and 3.1 rebounds per game. Krajina sat out the 2010-11 season with an ankle injury.
