Georgia Tech suspends Rice 3 games
Nov 12, 2011 - 2:04 AM Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Georgia Tech suspended junior guard Glen Rice Jr. for three games on Friday.The Yellow Jackets' second-leading scorer, rebounder and assist man, he was suspended for a violation of team rules.
He missed Friday's games against Florida A&M and will sit out Monday's contest with Delaware State, and Thursday's tilt against Saint Joseph's. He will be eligible to play next Friday in the opener of the Charleston Classic against either Seton Hall or VCU.
In 23 games last season, he averaged 12.8 points and 5.6 rebounds while totaling 79 assists.
