Central Michigan fires head coach Ernie Zeigler
Mar 14, 2012 - 5:10 PM Mount Pleasant, MI (Sports Network) - Central Michigan fired head men's basketball coach Ernie Zeigler on Wednesday.Zeigler had two years left on the contract he signed in April 2010.
"After a thorough review of the program, a change in leadership is needed in order to improve the overall performance of the program," said athletic director Dave Heeke.
The Chippewas were 11-21 this season and 10-21 last year.
In six seasons with the program, Zeigler compiled a 75-111 record.
