Tim Miles leaves Colorado State for Nebraska
Mar 24, 2012 - 5:02 AM Lincoln, NE (Sports Network) - Tim Miles is leaving his post as head men's basketball coach at Colorado State to take the same position at Nebraska.Nebraska will introduce Miles during a press conference at 12:30 p.m. (et) on Saturday.
Miles will take over for Doc Sadler, who was fired earlier this month. This past season, Miles led the Rams to a 20-12 record and their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2003. Colorado State fell to Murray State in the second round.
During in his five seasons at the helm, the Rams improved each year. They went from 7-25 in 2007-08 to 20-12 this past season.
Miles previously helped North Dakota State transition to Division I.
Sadler compiled a 101-89 record in his six seasons at Nebraska. The Cornhuskers went 12-18 this past season.
