MTSU coach Davis agrees to 5-year deal
Apr 25, 2012 - 10:42 PM Murfreesboro, TN (Sports Network) - Kermit Davis has agreed in principle to a five-year contract as head men's basketball coach at Middle Tennessee State.The deal, announced Wednesday, runs through the 2016-17 season and must be approved by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
Davis led the Blue Raiders to a 27-7 record in his 10th season and was named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year. He is the winningest coach in program history.
Among the accomplishments this past season, MTSU set school records for the most overall wins and most wins in the conference with 14. The Blue Raiders got off to a program-record 20-2 start and a 10-0 start in league play.
