Baggett named Rider head coach
May 25, 2012 - 2:50 AM Lawrenceville, NJ (Sports Network) - Rider University named Kevin Baggett as its head men's basketball coach on Thursday.Baggett has coached at the Division I level for 16 years and has been on the Broncs' staff since 2006-07, succeeding Tommy Dempsey who left the school to become the head coach at Binghamton.
"I will be forever grateful to President Rozanski, Associate Vice President Debbie Stasolla and our Athletic Director Don Harnum for giving me the opportunity to become Rider's next head men's basketball coach," said Baggett. "I am looking forward to building on the tradition and success that has been established here at Rider and I am eager and excited to get started."
Dempsey had been the Rider head coach since the 2005-06 season.
