Ohio U cancels basketball game amid campus scare
Jan 30, 2013 - 9:41 PM Athens, OH (Sports Network) - Ohio University announced it has postponed Wednesday's men's basketball game against Eastern Michigan after an armed fugitive was spotted near campus grounds earlier in the morning.The university also canceled Wednesday's classes upon Athens police receiving a report of an armed robbery at an apartment complex located in the vicinity of the school. The suspect had yet to be apprehended as of 12:25 local time (ET), prompting school officials to suspend most campus functions that included Wednesday's contest.
The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 20.
The 2012 Mid American Conference Tournament champion Bobcats are currently tied for first place in the conference with a 6-0 league record and own an overall mark of 15-5.
