Jacksonville turns to Jasick
Apr 10, 2014 - 3:08 AM Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - Jacksonville University named Tony Jasick its next head men's basketball on Wednesday.Jasick comes over from Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne and takes the reins from Cliff Warren, whose final three seasons of a nine-year tenure all ended in losing campaigns, including a 12-18 mark this past season.
"We are delighted to be hiring a coach of Tony's caliber, particularly given the multiple opportunities he was presented with," said Brad Edwards, the school's chief athletics officer. "Tony is an energetic, proven leader, who many in the basketball world believe is a rising star in the field of coaching."
Jasick guided IPFW to a school record 25 victories this past season, his third year at the helm after six seasons as an assistant.
