Tennessee State names Dana Ford head coach
Apr 21, 2014 - 4:19 PM Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Tennessee State on Monday named Dana Ford as its new head men's basketball coach.Ford previously worked at the university, serving on coach John Cooper's staff from 2009-11. He spent the next three seasons working as an assistant at Wichita State (2011-12) and Illinois State.
The Tigers needed a replacement for Travis Williams, who was fired last month after only two years. Tennessee State's win total dropped from 18 in Williams' first year to five this past season.
