CSU extends men's basketball coach Eustachy
Nov 22, 2014 - 12:01 AM Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Colorado State announced that the school exercised its option to extend the contract of men's head basketball coach Larry Eustachy through the 2018-19 season on Friday.Eustachy, who was named CSU's 19th head coach in school history on April 12, 2012, has led the Rams to a 43-25 record over his first two seasons.
He helped the Rams amass a school-record 26 victories and an NCAA Tournament victory over Missouri before losing to eventual national champion Louisville during his first season in 2013.
Eustachy, who is in his 25th season as a head coach, has compiled an impressive 445-283 record in 728 games.
The 58-year-old is the only head coach in NCAA Division I history to lead five different programs -- Colorado State, Southern Miss, Iowa State, Utah State and Idaho -- to 24-or-more wins in a single season.
