Top recruit Jaylen Brown picks Cal
May 2, 2015 - 2:36 AM (SportsNetwork.com) - Georgia native Jaylen Brown, one of the nation's top incoming freshman, has committed to play basketball next season at the University of California.Brown, a 6-foot-7, 220-pound small forward, was named the Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year after leading Wheeler High School to a 30-3 record and the 6A State Championship. Prior to Friday's announcement, Brown had trimmed his final list to Cal, Michigan, Kentucky and North Carolina.
He joins a talented recruiting class that also features five-star power forward and fellow McDonald's All-American Ivan Rabb.
