Kemrite's 3-pointers help Liberty top Summit 90-49

(AP) Ryan Kemrite made six 3-pointers on his way to scoring 22 points - both career highs - and Liberty rode a hot shooting night to a 90-49 win over Summit on Saturday.Liberty (2-0) made 18 of its 27 first-half field goal attempts en route to a 52-25 lead at the break. Lovell Cabbil scored all 19 of his points in the first half on 6-of-7 shooting.
Kemrite, Cabbil, Evan Maxwell and Ezra Talbert all made at least six baskets for the Flames, who assisted on 22 of 33 made field goals.
Maxwell finished with 14 points and seven rebounds, while Talbert had 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting and five rebounds.
Abe Valentine had 19 points for Summit (0-2), 14 of which came in the first half.
The Defenders committed 23 turnovers.
