Green Bay pulls away from Morehead State in 2nd half, 78-72

Dec 29, 2015 - 3:09 AM MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) Jamar Hurdle and Carrington Love combined to score 37 points and Green Bay held off a late rally Monday night to earn a 78-72 victory at Morehead State.

The teams played to a 36-36 draw through the first 20 minutes. Anthony Brown got to the basket for a layup and Hurdle followed with a 3-point play to spark a 7-0 run that put Green Bay up, 53-49, and the Phoenix played with the lead the rest of the way.

Love got to the basket for a pair of layups and converted two free throws in the final 4:21 as the Phoenix closed it out.

Hurdle finished with 19 points and seven rebounds while Love finished with 18 points for Green Bay (7-5). Charles Cooper added 14 points.

Miguel Dicent scored 20 points, Corban Collins added 15 and Anthony Elechi contributed 14 for Morehead State (6-5).
