Coach Dave Loos returning as Austin Peay coach
Apr 6, 2016 - 12:17 AM CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Dave Loos, who led Austin Peay's run through the Ohio Valley Conference tournament to earning an NCAA Tournament berth, will be back as the Governors coach next season.Athletic director Ryan Ivey announced Loos' return Tuesday.
Ivey says Loos agreed to a one-year contract extension. The athletic director says he sees Loos as the Governors' head coach for the near future, but both Ivey and Loos will evaluate the situation yearly for the coach both professionally and personally.
Loos just finished his 26th season at Austin Peay with his fourth OVC tournament title, and the Governors return three starters. Loos is 491-443 overall and 409-391 at Austin Peay.
The coach says in a statement he feels committed to his players and coaches and loves coaching.
