Wake Forest adds 2nd grad transfer, Matt Williams from UCF
Apr 27, 2016 - 4:40 PM WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) Wake Forest has added another graduate transfer to its roster, Matt Williams from Central Florida.Coach Danny Manning announced the addition of Williams on Wednesday.
He's expected to graduate from UCF this summer and then play for the Demon Deacons this coming season.
Manning said Williams is ''an established player at the college level.'' The 6-foot-5 guard who averaged 8.1 points and 2.6 rebounds last season for the Knights and made 148 3-pointers in three seasons.
He's the second graduate transfer to join the team in two weeks. Wake Forest also is bringing in forward Austin Arians from Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
