Western Kentucky suspends freshman center Mitchell Robinson
Jul 31, 2017 - 5:20 PM BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (AP) — Western Kentucky coach Rick Stansbury has suspended freshman center Mitchell Robinson indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules. Robinson, a 7-footer from Chalmette (Louisiana) High School, is a consensus All-American and five-star prospect by several recruiting services. He's the top recruit signed so far by Stansbury, who's preparing for his second season coaching the Hilltoppers. The coach said Robinson is "a good kid" in a statement released Monday, but noted that the team is more important than one player. Stansbury added, "He needs to understand the value of structure and accountability in his life, and his return will be dependent upon requirements that will be handled internally." WKU, 15-17 last season, will play professional, club and international teams in Costa Rica Aug. 7-14. ___ More AP college basketball: collegebasketball.ap.orgNo one has shouted yet.
