Packer leads Ohio State past Purdue
Feb 19, 2008 - 4:00 AM COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Marscilla Packer had a big second half to lead No. 22 Ohio State to a 72-56 victory over Purdue on Monday in a Big Ten Conference matchup.Ohio State (19-6, 10-4 Big Ten) was nursing a 30-27 lead at the half before pulling way after the break behind Packer.
Packer finished with 18 points, including 16 in the second half. Jantel Lavender scored 13 points and Tamarah Riley added 12 for the Lady Buckeyes, who shot 58 percent (14-of-24) from the field after the break.
FahKara Malone scored 17 points and Samantha Woods added 13 off the bench for the Boilermakers (14-12, 10-5).
