Duquesne women's hoops coach Durkin resigns
Mar 14, 2007 - 9:30 PM PITTSBURGH (Ticker) -- Duquesne women's basketball coach Dan Durkin resigned on Wednesday after 14 years at the school.Duquesne finished 7-20 this past season and failed to qualify for the Atlantic 10 Conference tournament with a 2-12 league mark.
"It is with great regret that I am stepping down as head coach of women's basketball at Duquesne after 14 years," Durkin said. "My daughters have grown up in the Palumbo Center and I'd publicly like to thank them for their support. At the same time, my family and I are looking forward to new challenges."
Durkin compiled an overall record of 176-217.
