Feb 27, 2013 - 3:19 PM Georgetown, MA (Sports Network) - One player was injured when a bus carrying the Maine women's basketball team ran off Interstate 95 near Georgetown, Massachusetts, Tuesday night.

Milica Mitrovic, a freshman guard from Serbia, broke her hand and head coach Richard Barron was treated for minor facial lacerations after the bus crossed the median, veered across the northbound lanes and came to a stop in a wooded area at around 8:30 p.m (ET). The driver was taken by helicopter to a Boston hospital.

Amazingly, no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

All the players and staff were taken to three area hospitals for observation and released Wednesday morning.

The team was en route to play Boston University on Wednesday night. The game has since been canceled.
